The ongoing Israeli attacks and blockade in the Gaza Strip are deepening the humanitarian crisis with the arrival of winter. As Valide Humanitarian Aid Association, we have distributed winter clothing to children struggling to survive in the shadow of the attacks.

This winter in Gaza is not just a seasonal hardship, but a struggle for survival. Hundreds of thousands of Gazans left homeless by Israel's attacks are facing winter in tents flooded with water and among ruins without heating. The famine and lack of medicine caused by the siege are now compounded by illnesses brought on by the freezing cold.

Aid Remains Insufficient While the boots, coats, and winter clothing delivered by our teams provide some protection for children in the region, aid entering the area is still not at the desired level due to restrictions imposed by Israel. Thousands of children face the risk of hypothermia (freezing) in addition to the fear of bombardment.

Call for Urgent Action The real tragedy in Gaza is not just the bombs; it is the children who survive the bombs being left to die of cold and hunger. As Valide Humanitarian Aid Association, we appeal to our benefactors: We must increase our aid against this systematic effort to destroy Gaza and the cruelty of natural conditions.

A set of clothes is the most concrete step a child in Gaza can take to cling to life.
