Latest Situation in Gaza

Gaza has been struggling with years of blockade, wars and inhumane conditions. The genocide in the region since October 7 has led to a major humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. As a result of Israel's intensive bombardments and atrocities, Gaza is experiencing massive destruction and loss of life.

Casualties and Injuries

Deaths: Since October 7, the number of martyrs recorded and received by hospitals in Gaza 41,020. The majority of these deaths, 69%, are women (11,346) and children (16,756).

- Injured: The number of people injured and maimed in the Israeli offensive amounted to 94,925, and access to health services was severely restricted.

Infrastructure and Health Services

- Infrastructure: Basic services such as electricity, water and gas were cut off. 150 thousand buildings were completely destroyed and 280 thousand buildings were partially destroyed. 123 school and university buildings were completely destroyed and 335 school and university buildings were partially destroyed. 611 mosques were completely destroyed and 214 mosques were partially destroyed.

- Food and Water: Access to food and clean water has been severely restricted. Hunger and disease are widespread. 36 children have died due to malnutrition and dehydration.

- Children: 17,000 children lost one or both parents. Children have been among those who have paid the heaviest price of the war.

International Response and Aid

The Islamic world has launched various relief efforts to alleviate the situation in Gaza. However, there are serious obstacles to the delivery and distribution of aid.
